Abstract: If you were asked today "What are the three dominant persistent storage technologies used in the cloud in 2020?'', you would probably answer HDD, flash and tape. If you were asked this question in 2010 you would have probably answered HDD, flash and tape. Will this answer change when you are asked this question in 2030?
